A brain-based approach to headache care
Not all headaches are the same. Cervicogenic headaches originate from structures in the neck. Tension headaches are often related to postural strain and muscle tightness. Migraines involve complex neurological processes. Identifying what type of headache you're experiencing — and what may be contributing — is the starting point for any care plan.
Our brain-based chiropractic approach is particularly suited to headache assessment. We evaluate the cervical spine, nervous system function, posture, and lifestyle factors that may be playing a role in your symptoms. Care may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue work, postural guidance, and stress management support.
Headache types we commonly assess
- Cervicogenic headaches (originating in the neck)
- Tension-type headaches
- Headaches associated with postural strain
- Migraines (assessment and supportive care)
- Headaches following whiplash or injury
- Headaches associated with stress and jaw tension
Chiropractic care is not a treatment for migraines as a medical condition. However, some patients find that addressing cervical spine function and nervous system tone may support a reduction in frequency or intensity. This is individual and cannot be guaranteed.
